Ground Beef Chili Recipe

    Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
  • 2 cups onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
Cookware:
  • Chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Large saucepan or Dutch oven
Instructions:
  1. Place large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and cook ground beef for about 5 minutes until brown.
  2. Add onion and stir well for 3-5 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Slowly stir in the broth, chili powder, cumin, and tomatoes.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Then stir in beans, salt and vinegar and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Serve hot.

A few tips:
  1. This chili is great with addition toppings and sides as desired: grated cheddar, jalapeƱo, sour cream, corn bread.
