- Ingredients:
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
- 2 cups onion, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
- 2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
Cookware:
- Chef's knife
- Cutting board
- Large saucepan or Dutch oven
Instructions:
- Place large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and cook ground beef for about 5 minutes until brown.
- Add onion and stir well for 3-5 minutes until translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Slowly stir in the broth, chili powder, cumin, and tomatoes.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Then stir in beans, salt and vinegar and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
A few tips:
- This chili is great with addition toppings and sides as desired: grated cheddar, jalapeƱo, sour cream, corn bread.
